Portugal April 2009

Here are a few of my pictures from our trip to Portugal. We stayed in a town 20 minutes outside of Lisbon called Cascais. It was fantastic! Josh worked most of the time, but Keegan and I toured the beaches, the city, neighboring Sintra...and a lot of restaurants! When Josh had a day off, I went to the spa :) and then we took Keegan to the Aquarium in Lisbon, which he loved!

I am a bit behind with picture posting. Here are some pictures from our last day trip to Rome. Check back later in the week for pictures from our trip to Lisbon :)

Keegan's first plane ride was a success! With 5 hours air time to Lisbon (1 layover), he did not cry once! Another baby cried the entire flight from Naples to Munich... Keegan slept from taxi to landing. What a good boy! So far, a good test run for the 'big trip' back to Cincinnati.

6-month update

such a weird sleeper... just like his dad! (this is on the short end of the crib. he insists on being wedged in there so that both his head and his feet touch!)

Keegan had his 6-month check-up today. More shots :( The good news is he has a break until 15 months! Phew! I HATE when he has to get shots.

He is weighing in at a mere 15.5 lbs. He is on the low end of the chart for weight... but he is super long. He is 27 inches, which is in the 98th percentile. Tall and skinny. Our goal is to beef him up a bit over the next few months.

Today I went on a private tour of the Gay-Odin Chocolate Factory in downtown Naples.

This was the first thing I saw as I walked in the door... Easter plates and baskets! By the way, the most amazing smell of chocolate hits you the moment you enter :)

This man is preparing chocolate covered doves. The doves are a sweet bread slathered in chocolate. I was so tempted to stick my mouth under the waterfall of chocolate... ;)

3-day-old chocolate makes this candy called "Moo". It is a carmely, fudgy, brownie-like chocolate that will eventually be covered with a dark chocolate shell. We taste-tested this too! :)

This man was painting Mt. Vesuvius on a big egg.

These are peanut-shaped wafers with a light whippy chocolate filling. The lady puts the chocolate in each wafer by hand! These were yummy...taste-test!

Group shot with my friends. This was a little difficult because there were about 10 different cameras to look at! Oh, and notice that Keegan was not looking at the camera. No way that was going to happen with chocolate eggs to stare at! He loved this entire day!

Their delivery truck! How cute is that?? They have 10 stores in Naples, 1 store in Rome and 1 in Milan.
